Traditional approaches to development and rapidly escalating demands of modern society are placing enormous stress on the environment and, as a result, the state of the environment around the world continues to decline at an alarming rate. Increasingly, people are beginning recognise the vital need for careful Natural Resource Management (NRM) and ecosystem restoration, especially as they are fundamental components in ensuring both quality of life and economic development in developed and developing countries alike.
In an effort to support and promote the effective management of these natural resources and through building local resiliency, SaafConsult BV focuses on the following key areas:
Integrated protected areas management
Environmental restoration and bioremediation
Species conservation
Sustainable use of flora and fauna
Community-based natural resource management (CBNRM)
Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of NRM projects
 Strategic planning and policy advice
No matter what aspect of natural resource management is required, SaafConsult BV actively works with you to develop tailor-made and applicable approaches and solutions to suit your needs and requirements.

Our experience in Natural Resource Management includes: working with IUCN-The World Conservation Union on the formal establishment and management of the Central Karakorum National Park in Pakistan, assessment of and advising on a wastewater treatment plant in Vietnam with Development World Wide (DWW), and managing an online conservation portal supporting genuine conservation efforts in Zimbabwe.
